App Terms of Service
The terms that govern your use of the Light Meter app.
By downloading, installing, or using the Light Meter app ("the App") developed by Digitaino LLC, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
Acceptance of terms
By using the Light Meter app, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
License to use
Subject to these Terms, Digitaino LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Light Meter app for personal or professional photography purposes.
You may not:
- Modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the App
- Distribute, rent, lease, or sublicense the App
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purposes
- Attempt to circumvent any security features or limitations
Pro features and in-app purchases
The App offers optional Pro features available through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Pro features include:
- Custom step increments (1/3, 1/2, full stop)
- Live histogram with RGB channel display
- Preview compensation effects
- Custom aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and exposure compensation limits
Pro features are a one-time purchase and are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policy.
Camera access and usage
The App requires camera access to function as a light meter. By granting camera permission, you acknowledge that:
- Camera data is processed locally on your device only
- No photos, videos, or camera data are stored or transmitted
- Camera access is used solely for light metering calculations
- You are responsible for using the App in accordance with local laws and regulations
Accuracy and professional use
While the Light Meter app is designed to provide accurate light metering readings, measurement accuracy can be affected by various factors including device hardware, environmental conditions, and user technique.
The App is provided as a tool to assist with photography and should not be relied upon as the sole source for critical exposure decisions. Users should exercise professional judgment and verify readings when necessary.
Refunds and cancellations
Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple according to their standard refund policy. To request a refund, please contact Apple Support directly.
Digitaino LLC does not process refunds directly but will assist with any app-related issues that may warrant a refund request.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Light Meter app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Digitaino LLC makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the App.
We do not warrant that the App will be error-free or that defects will be corrected.
Limitation of liability
In no event shall Digitaino LLC be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Light Meter app.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for any Pro features purchased through the App.
Updates and modifications
Digitaino LLC may update the App from time to time to improve functionality, fix bugs, or add new features. Updates may be automatically downloaded and installed on your device.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any modified terms.
Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. These Terms will remain in effect until terminated.
Digitaino LLC may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason.
Governing law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Texas.
